Lal Bahadur Shastri resolutely rejected Pakistani military infiltration, pledging to meet force with crushing strength. He dismissed Chinese border threats as manufactured, warning against the Sino-Pak axis. Fusing defense with internal security, he famously declared "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" to boost morale. Shastri asserted that India would endure severe economic hardship rather than surrender its sovereignty. He concluded by emphasizing that the high cost of freedom requires constant national vigilance.
